Keep Fit

For over 20 years, Cedar Heights’ Co-ed Keep Fit Program has helped keep our community active and connected. Certified volunteer instructors lead two levels of classes every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Level 1 (9:00 am) includes cardio, light weights or bands and mat stretching, while Level 2 (10:45 am) offers a chair-supported, no-floor option for those with mobility concerns.

Registration includes Cedar Heights membership, with access to added benefits, and the friendly coffee socials that often follow.

Yoga

Yoga classes are held every Monday at 11:00 am at Cedar Heights (excluding statutory holidays) and are led by a qualified volunteer instructor for up to 20 participants. These sessions run through May.

The cost is $52.50, plus a $60 Cedar Heights membership, which includes benefits such as early access to event tickets, discounted events and eligibility for other season passes.

Open to Public (no reservations required)

Carpet Bowling

Carpet bowling is variation of lawn bowling adapted to play indoors. Cedar Heights offers this activity on a scheduled basis during the winter months and Bocce is offered in the summer, as another opportunity to socialize and enjoy friendly competition. The balls used in carpet bowling differ from bocce balls in the sense that they are weighted on one side, allowing for the balls to follow an arc toward the jack. Drop-in visitors are welcome during the scheduled time of play.

Open to Public

Shuswap Dojo

The Cedar Heights Dojo teaches Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate with classes for children (7–10) and youths and adults (11+) on Tuesdays and Thursdays. In a safe and supportive setting, students build confidence, fitness, and practical self-defence skills.

The Dojo is part of the Shorei-Kan Canada Karate Association and has been based at Cedar Heights since 2011.

For registration, email shorei.kan.canada.shuswap.dojo@gmail.com.
